A school council is group of children who are elected by their peers to represent the views of all the children in the school and to improve their school.
In our school each year group elect 2 representatives to be members of the school council. The council meets half-termly to discuss a range of issues. Representatives feedback to their classes matters discussed and whole class votes are taken when necessary.
The School Council also nominates the charity the school will support alongside the permanent school charity, Helen and Douglas House. For 2017 - 2018 the selected school charity is Cancer Research UK.
